What a beautiful evening

The wind died down to tolerable levels early this evening and I decided I had to have a fire. After all, tomorrow is summer!  Well, the wind died down to nothing and I think it was warmer than it had been all day. And here I sit over three hours later still enjoying the embers of my fire. I only wish I had been hungry because it is perfect for hot dogs or marshmallows! It is so quiet all I can hear are the birds, and even they seem to be slowing down. The perfect evening to end spring.
