This morning we went grocery shopping. Unlike our usual trips, this time, we took a good look through a special Black Friday flyer, marked the items we wanted to take a good look at the flyer, and took it with us to the store. Everything in the flyer was only on sale today, and some of the prices were unbelievable. It was just like a scavenger hunt. But, everyone, was unbelievably polite. People were joking with one another, there were lots of conversations in the long lines waiting, and people were wishing stranger a happy holiday. Everyone seemed to be relaxed and having a bit of fun. I have to wonder if we were each seeking out a bit of companionship, even subconsciously. Maybe there are some good things are coming out of the Covid crap after all. However, for some reason two women (customers) in the meat department got into a fist fight, and it took two butchers to pull them apart and usher them out of the store. Never seen that in a grocery store before, although I have seen nasty words at volume a couple of times. Regardless, it was a "feel good" day.
