I find myself just filling time. I am procrastinating like crazy on working on the two commitments I have--a demonstration for March 16 and a full day workshop for April 28th. I did get most of the samples for the demo done this afternoon, but only after giving myself a good kick in the butt. Now I've just finished 3 poker tournaments, without winning anything. I think I may be still fighting a bit of the "blues", especially when I'm tired and not sleeping well.
But I did get out to Starbucks today. A bit of excitement there. A little sad too. A man came in, probably in his 20's-30's. He was obviously mentally challenged in some way. He shouted hello to a few people from the doorway, got himself a cup of coffee, and then wandered around talking to himself, but you could see people sort of cringing away from him. He was a little disheveled, and none to clean. There is a special care facility in the same mall, so this isn't an isolated event, but usually it happens on a weekday, and there are several of them and one or two "companions" with them. Not so today. I had my book and couldn't see the whole room. Next thing I saw was the police coming in. Not unusual again as they, and EMT's often stop in. But this time they gently, and unobtrusively escorted the fellow out. Obviously the staff had called them. I was impressed with how quietly it was done.
