This place is like a garlic factory lately with all hands on deck to do the pulling and cleaning and chopping and dehydrating and grinding into powder and bagging and labeling - lots of fun. And the aroma is unmistakably that of garlic! And this weekend Harry is likely to purchase more garlic bulbs from the market in order to plant for next year. One must purchase bulbs from another source and not use ones own each year to replant. One plot is almost planted and the required straw covering in place. There are two more plots to do so more garlic is required. We bought two bales of straw in Huntsville on Tuesday. On Wednesday I could not stand the looks of our vehicle so I spent the afternoon cleaning and vacuuming and otherwise making it presentable again. That will not last too long but at least I made the effort and was duly satisfied with my said efforts. The tomatoes are starting to ripen and the kitchen is starting to fill up - I had a toasted tomato sandwich for breakfast yesterday and the taste of the tomato was wonderful. Perhaps another this morning ???
So Friday has arrived and another week gone. Too fast for my way of thinking. The moon is spectacular right now - I take Bailey out early and the last two mornings have been awe inspiring to see that huge glowing sphere above us and brightening the dawn skies to brilliance. One must appreciate the small pleasures, right?
Anxious to hear about your day yesterday Pati and hope that you were pleased with whatever happened to occur - whether people enjoying your wares, or just you enjoying people haha!
Take care folks. What is on your agendas for this weekend???
