Another vet bill .....

Good thing we increased the limit on our credit card.  We had to take JJ in.  She has had trouble getting around and yesterday her hind end just collapsed on her.  I thought it was her hips, but she has a lump on what would be just above her "ankle".  We have some pain killers for her and the vet measured the lump and we are to make sure it doesn't get bigger.  It is most likely arthritis but there is a chance of bone cancer.  We also picked up Chase's remains and have buried him with the other animals.  It was a comedy of errors getting JJ to the vets.  She is not very mobile right now but we got her to the retaining wall and were able to walk her into the back of the car. (we had the seats down ) She howled and whined the whole trip and ended up right behind the driver's seat.  Jim opened the back door and she fell out of the car.  He was able to support her as she landed.  The vet tried to get her to lie down but she refused to budge.  So she tried to get her to stand up and she immediately lay down.  She even got onto the scale and is down to 100 pounds.  On the way home she again tried to get right behind the driver and her front half fell in the gap between the front seat and the back and the folded down head rest got stuck under her stomach.  It took us a while to get her out when we got home, but at least we got her home.  Both of us were afraid we would be losing her too.  It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend here and we are looking forward  to being outside.
