The Mock Orange is finally blooming. Not the usual full, show-y bloom but an overall, healthy looking bloom none-the-less. the Nanking cherries are turning dark red. David doesn't want any jelly this year, so we're leaving them to the birds and are thrilled that it's attracted up to four Blue Jays at a time, as well as Robins.
We both have been making sure we wear our hearing aids all day, ever since our visit to the audiologist last week. So yesterday, David has such a wax problem that we tried using warm baby oil in his ear to soften it up. Didn't work. So this morning he's off to Urgent Care to get some help. I didn't think he needed me to hold his hand, so I'm at home looking after laundry. have to think about supper, as I believe it will be too hot to cook. We also need to visit Starbucks today,as it's "double star day', and a good chance to stock up on ground coffee. I mentioned it to David and he volunteered tog and eat something, to hep build up the stars. He's been quite willing to do that ever since he discovered their Oatmeal raisin cookies. Otherwise, I plan to spend as much of the day as possible in the basement.
