Something Different

Today was just a little different.  This morning we  took bits and pieces of gold to Winnipeg Gold Buyer.  These were  things that have passed down to us or been given to us, but no-one in the family seems to value.  We had no idea where a couple of them came from or who they could be traced back to.  It was quite a process, and he went through every step right in front of us.  There were two mysterious lockets that proved not to be gold at all, but their chains were!  Even David's wedding ring, that he won't wear, went.  It was a pretty small pile, in the end, but we still got a good price ( as far as we're concerned!).  However, most of it went on the credit card to cover the rug cleaning we had earlier in the month.  Still, it was well worth the time and effort we put into the process.

Otherwise, not much going on here.  David has arranged for a final adjustment of his new hearing aids, early next week.  That's about the only thing we have planned until a week Monday, when I take a couple of pieces in for the Gallery show next month.  Somehow, I have no drive to work in the studio.  Not sure what that's all about.  Still, better to stay home and be safe.
