An evening out

This evening we went to a movie--"Knives Out".  Really a "take-off" on the Hurcule Poirot books, with lots of suspects, and few clues, followed at the end by the detective facing everyone for  a big reveal.  Except it sort of wasn't.  Lots of twists in the plot, right up until the end.  This type of thing is often confusing at first, and this was no exception, but with a lot more humor that one might expect in this type of film.  A few big names, but mostly unknown actors-- to me, anyway.  A couple of older names, such as Don Johnson.  I haven't seen much of him in years, although he was in the Jane Fonda film that came out last year.  He has slipped into character roles quite nicely, and a treat to see Jamie Lee Curtis playing her age.  We went to the 5:40 show at the mall, and then to the food court for a very late supper.  A pleasant evening.
