A question of a culinary nature

 Please if you can help me.

I have leftover Christmas cake from last year ( thank goodness none was made for this year)

I would like to use it but not as is. It is a bit dry. I envision cake cut into pieces and done in a custard cream sauce of some sort.

What would you do???  Any ideas. This would be for my use only.
