It started to sleet about 8 pm last evening and I had to make a mad dash to bring in all my decorations before it got worse outside. They are all now piled in a heap near the front door - a chore to complete today I guess but most are very damp or wet. My poor old standup witch is still erect and shivering out in the snow. I turned off her battery but it will be hard to manoeuvre her into the car again to go back to the storage unit.
I loved all the pictures of your neighbourhood Pati. My display could be called minimalist compared to them as they really went all out with blow ups etc. covering the entire lawn And I see using the lasted TV titles like Game of Thrones prompts as well. However, people liked my attempt to please - I was surprised that some kids commented on the effects... 'this is the scariest house I've been to...." And some parents complimented me on a ..."really nice show" Now it all has to be put away again for another year... ugh!
And we had a really nice day trip to the Casino Rama yesterday as well, and have booked for the bus already for the end of November. Got back home just before 6 pm and quickly got ready for the kids - I think we may have missed some because we had no lights on until then. Turnout was poor as expected and I have no idea this year how many as I did not even keep track of numbers as I have done in previous years. I just poured myself my goblet of wine and attended to the door between sips haha!
I do not have that little Google vignette anymore - haven't for a long time and I do not know why it is gone except that it now says Google Chrome when I log on - maybe that makes the difference??
As I sit here, I hear the snow plow going down our street again - terrible noise now to think that this may now be the way it is for a few months to come - I cannot bear to think of it actually.
