Unexpectedly, I got the information about the "back pay', on my approval for the Disability Tax Credit. I will only say that it was a bit more than I had expected. If there is any chance either of you could consider going for it, I would say it might be well worth your while.
For the last couple of days, David has been out looking for a new(to us) car. Our old one is really on it's last legs. If you remember, Beth we bought it when you were here to visit, almost 10 years ago, when we made our last trip to the States. But we took a look at how we are using a car now, and realized that it was mainly for city driving, not the lengthy highway trips we used to enjoy, and maybe used would be the way to go. We even had a test drive scheduled for yesterday morning, until I read the Carfax sheet on it, and we decided that we wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Now, knowing that I would be getting some money, and expecting that David will also be getting about the same, we decided to wait and see what the bottom line is, when all is said and done, and maybe see if we could look at new cars instead of used. We might still have to dip into the Line of Credit, but it wouldn't be nearly as much.
So that is what is consuming out time right now, although today is bill paying day. Guess we'll have to look into doing that, if nothing else.
