And now life settles down

Everything went well yesterday.  The credit union is more than happy to have our LOC there, but there are legal issues in terms of using the house as collateral, which evidently has to be registered with Land Titles.  ( you would know all about that, Cathy!)  Of course there is a fee for all of this, but we are quite willing to pay it, just to be clear of Scotiabank. At the same time, I applied to have a new small internet credit card, through the credit union, as I was informed that mine will now be administered through TD bank.  Not going there.  I was immediately approved with a credit limit of $22,500!  OMG!  Not going there either!  But she has said that as soon as the paperwork arrives, that can be dropped to the $1000 that I'm comfortable with. Still it's nice to know that my credit rating as a woman is good enough for something like that.

The dinner last night was a little strange, but it was held at the Golf Club.  I had been there before but never out on the veranda.  What a wonderful view out over the golf course.  All of the trees starting to turn colour.  Every where around us while there and driving both ways, you could see lush green trees and fields.  All of the recent rain has certainly made a difference.  After dinner we went to the casino, and came out with more money than we went in with.  So a good day all'round.

Today we're off to the Fibre Festival.  I'm sure you remember that, Beth.  I have to pick up my piece at 4:15, but want to get there about 3:00 for a chance to look around.  Luckily, when my purse was returned, the claim ticket was still there.  And--the Pledge Drives are over, and my tv shows are back on PBS this evening.  For now, all's right with the world.
